Welcome to Lungomare
Waterfront views, rolling hills, locally-made food, 261 days of sun a year. Oakland and Northern Italy have more than just their climates in common. And this February, Lungomare combines the best of both regions on the waterfront at Jack London Square.
Giving Oaklanders a new way to enjoy some of the city’s best features: fresh food and fine weather, Lungomare is the latest project from the owners of Chop Bar and Grand Tavern, and while the setting is new, the mission remains the same: quality ingredients, perfectly executed. The menu will offer a blend of Tuscan and Ligurian specialties — a mix of seafood, house-cured meats, rustic pizza and fresh pasta, with dishes locally sourced whenever possible.
Since the waterfront has one of the best views in the Town, Lungomare has plenty of outdoor seating, with heat lamps, wind screens and trellises to make it a comfortable place to sit year-round. Plus, there will be a raw bar, a regular bar, and a cafe to make it an all-day destination, whether you’re grabbing coffee on the way to work, or dinner on a Saturday night.
This project is made possible by Tom Henderson, an Oakland native and resident with over 30 years of business experience in export/import, and a commitment to creating economic opportunity in the East Bay. Tom is a partner in Lungomare, as well as President & CEO of the San Francisco Regional Center.
